Our office participated in the design competition to rethink the Siófok waterfront. The planning area is structured by the pedestrian traffic axes and the delimited areas they create. This division resulted in three distinct zones: the 'Coastal Strip', 'Installation Strip', and 'Port Strip'.

The 'Coastal Strip' serves as a recreational green space, harmoniously connected to Lake Balaton. Here, visitors can enjoy the beach and its amenities, providing ample opportunities for sunbathing along the shore. To enhance accessibility, we introduced the Istria Promenade extension, establishing a new axis that links the coastal section in front of the hotels to the 'Harbor Strip.' This clear separation ensures a distinct boundary between the coastal area and the building zone.

Between the Istria Promenade and the Petőfi Promenade lies a vibrant zone dedicated to catering, commerce, and various services. We opted for a more open and relaxed installation for the Petőfi Promenade, creating a seamless visual and pedestrian connection to the waterfront. This approach replaces the previous closed space wall installation, improving the overall ambiance.

For parking solutions, we recommend constructing parking slabs on both sides of the area, providing sufficient space for visitors and ensuring convenience for all.
