Our plan's primary objective is to develop and revitalize the Megyer quarter of the city of Pécs, creating a vibrant and livable community space. We aim to strengthen urban functions and foster social cohesion by establishing inclusive meeting places for all generations. By integrating underutilized areas into the urban fabric, we seek to prevent slum processes in housing estates.
To address the changing social composition of the settlements and meet present-day needs, we will prioritize expanding recreational offerings for different age groups. Given the extensive scope of the project, we will focus on rehabilitating individual open spaces and green elements in a hierarchical manner.
In pursuit of attracting private investment, the renovation of public areas will create opportunities for future development. Our long-term vision involves amending the layout plan to facilitate the creation of a modern and cohesive district centre, leading to a qualitative transformation.
Our renovation plans encompass the refurbishment of deteriorating stairs, retaining walls, and shrubbery, while also improving access walkways and sports fields. By implementing these changes, we aspire to rejuvenate Megyer into a thriving and integrated community.
