Budapest's XIX district, Kispesti Municipality, has unveiled an ambitious plan for a comprehensive renovation of its public spaces. In response to the announcement by the Budapest City Council, Kispesti Municipality is now presenting a tender proposal focused on revamping the areas in front of the Kispesti Kossuth tér market and the Trefort high school square. Additionally, they aim to integrate various social development and community building programs into the project.
The primary objective of this grant initiative is to rejuvenate the city's public spaces, streets, and associated structures in an environmentally sustainable manner. This will be achieved through a series of interconnected interventions, with a key emphasis on physically renewing public spaces and implementing innovative programs. These programs will play a crucial role in stimulating the growth of fresh economic and community functions, fostering local initiatives driven by novel and ecological ideas for utilization, and enhancing social cohesion within the community.
