The design concept aims to transform the street into a green-dominated "garden street" ambiance, departing from the traditional pedestrian street with decorative paving. The key challenge is to strike the right balance between paved and green surfaces, allowing flexibility to adapt to evolving needs and functions of ground-floor storefronts.

The pavement architecture implements rectangular irregular lines mimicking the underground utility service maze, creating zones that can be occupied by different surfaces, such as decorative pavers, lawns, shrubs, or flowerbeds. These spaces can be converted as per changing requirements. Rest areas are strategically placed, offering opportunities for sculptures or installations. A tree-lined avenue runs through the centre of the street, while the entrance features embellished water architecture.

Determining the ideal pavement-to-green ratio of the line system's surfaces is essential. While there is a societal demand for increased green spaces in inner-city districts, the right amount of green area for a pedestrian street must be assessed. Suggesting the creation of more green space during construction allows for potential adjustments based on the actual usage and needs of the community.
