Our concept is driven by the fundamental objective of addressing existing issues and promoting beneficial elements to create a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing public space. To achieve this, we propose several key interventions:

We aim to enhance connectivity by establishing a pedestrian and bicycle walkway, linking the university and market centre along Route 6 to Uránbányász Square and further extending it to Leo Szilárd Park. This seamless network encourages sustainable transportation and improves accessibility. We are integrating the proposed cycle path with the planned cycle path network on the Kőrösi Csoma S.– Építók útja route, ensuring a comprehensive and interconnected system for cyclists throughout the area.

Our concept focuses on enhancing the connection and accessibility between the two sections of Uránváros tér and Szilárd Leó Park. This improved linkage will facilitate ease of movement and create a more cohesive urban environment.

While preserving the existing characteristics, we envision a creative renewal of the public space to shape a captivating city image. This includes strengthening commercial and service functions to support a thriving urban centre.

Our concept lays the foundation for a long-term vision, enabling the extension of the pedestrian and walking zone to the segment between Ybl Miklós út, Kőrösi Csoma S., and Építók út. This extension will foster a more pedestrian-friendly and vibrant urban corridor.

In conclusion, our concept strives to create a dynamic and functional public space, fostering connections, accessibility, and aesthetic appeal while setting the groundwork for future expansion and urban development.
